Darren began CrossFit in 2011 after several years of working out in a traditional gym setting. At the time, he had just finished up the Cap 10K & was looking for a new challenge. Shortly after walking through the garage doors, he quickly learned that this new experience would not only challenge him physically, but mentally as well. Within no time he was hooked on the skills & techniques, the variance & intensity of workouts, & the ever present sense of community that surrounds CrossFit.
Since that time, Darren has grown to discover the various facets that make up CrossFit. As his inner athlete is not getting any younger, he’s begun to study more on the importance of nutrition, mobility, & recovery. This development has pushed him to share his experiences & knowledge base with others as a CrossFit Level 1 Trainer.
